Before you pay anything
Is the free plan really free?
Yes, and there is no card. Snagr runs recovery for free until it recovers your first payment, with up to 50 recovery emails a month before then (sends past that are held, not dropped). You get the whole product — checkout, signup, trial and custom recovery flows, attribution and holdback reporting. Polar revenue analytics are free forever, with or without a recovery.
What counts as my first recovered payment?
A customer who abandoned a checkout, or whose renewal failed, pays after receiving a Snagr recovery email. Your payment provider or server confirms payment; Snagr attributes it automatically and shows it in your dashboard, with the amount — you don't have to report anything.
What happens after it?
New recovery emails are held, not lost — we keep them for about 10 days. The moment you upgrade to Pro ($29/mo or $290/yr), every held email goes out automatically. Emails already on their way to customers still finish, and your analytics stay free.
Do I need a card to start?
No. Sign up, connect Polar or install the SDK, and Snagr starts recovering. You only enter a card when you upgrade to Pro — by which point Snagr has already made you money.
Does Snagr take a cut of what it recovers?
No. 0%, on every plan. Pro is $29/mo flat no matter whether Snagr brings back $200 or $200,000 this month.
Monthly or annual?
Same plan, same entitlements — annual is $290/yr, which saves $58 against paying monthly for a year. Pick annual at checkout.
Can I cancel?
Any time, from the Polar customer portal — no email, no retention call. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for, then drop back to the Free plan — analytics keep working, and new recovery emails are held until you upgrade again. Your data, sequences, and history stay put. Early-bird subscribers who joined at $19/mo keep that price for as long as the subscription stays active.
What's in Pro besides unlimited emails?
Your own sending domain, plus the SDK's power features: AI-personalized emails, on-site banners and modals, per-person flags, webhook steps, and agent setup through Snagr's MCP server. Free teams get all of it until their first recovered payment.
What does the custom sending domain get me?
Pro sends from your own domain with DKIM, SPF and DMARC set up, instead of the shared Snagr domain. Better inbox placement means more recovery emails actually get seen — which is the whole point of sending them.
I signed up before September 26, 2026 — does this change my plan?
No. Free accounts created before September 26, 2026 keep the plan they signed up for: 50 recovery emails a month, free, with no first-recovery limit.
