See what abandoned checkouts cost your Polar store.

Get your real numbers: abandoned checkouts, how many left an email, past-due subscriptions, and cancellations. Connect with Polar in two clicks, or paste a read-only token with no signup. Either way it takes about 60 seconds.

Fastest: connect with Polar

Two Polar approval clicks, no token to create. You see your recoverable checkouts right away, and recovery stays off until you switch it on.

Rather not create an account? Paste a read-only token below. We never store it.

Create a read-only token

  1. 1Open your Polar dashboard → Settings → Developers → New token.
  2. 2Name it “Snagr leak report”, set it to expire in 1 day, and tick only these read scopes:organizations:readcheckouts:readsubscriptions:readmetrics:read
  3. 3Copy the token (it starts with polar_oat_) and paste it below.
  • ✓ Read-only. Snagr can't change anything in Polar.
  • ✓ Used once, in memory. We never store the token.
  • ✓ No account, no card. Revoke the token right after.

Or estimate by hand without connecting anything.

Why Polar merchants lose checkouts quietly

Polar emails customers when a subscription renewal fails, but a checkout that’s started and never paid just expires. Nobody follows up. On most indie stores that’s the single biggest revenue leak, and it doesn’t show up anywhere in the dashboard. For context on what’s normal, see checkout abandonment rate benchmarks.

What to do with the number

A short, well-timed email to the customers who left an address wins back a real share of them. Our guide on recovering abandoned checkouts on Polar.sh walks through the timing and copy. Or let Snagr send them from your own domain, with a holdback group so the recovered revenue is provably yours.

Questions

Is it safe to paste a Polar token here?
The report only needs read scopes, so the token can't change anything in your Polar org. Snagr uses it once, in memory, to read your last 90 days of checkouts and subscriptions — it is never saved to a database, written to logs, or sent back to your browser. Set the token to expire in a day, or revoke it in Polar → Settings → Developers as soon as you've seen your numbers.
What counts as an abandoned checkout?
A Polar checkout session for a paid product that expired, failed, or sat open for over an hour without being paid. If the same customer later bought the same product, it isn't counted, and repeated attempts by one customer count once.
Why is the recoverable number so much smaller?
Only abandoners who entered an email can be followed up with, and even a good recovery sequence wins back roughly 10–15% of those. We'd rather show you a conservative number you'll actually see than a gross figure you won't.
Doesn't Polar already recover these?
Polar retries failed subscription renewals and emails the customer about them. It does not follow up on abandoned checkouts at all — that's the gap this report measures, and the one Snagr closes.
Do I need a Snagr account?
No. The report is free and needs no account or card. If you like what you see, Snagr can email those abandoners automatically, and your first recovered payment is on us.
